Ch’askañawi

Ch’askañawi is a monstrous, charcoal-coloured, wyrm that resides in South America. She was given her name from the way her eyes glitter in the dark of the caves she calls her lair.

Ch’askañawi strikes terror in the hearts of all whom come to know her. She is a deadly hunter who uses the cave systems of her continent to travel freely and unleash a cascade of molten lava encasing her prey before she devours it. Locals often joke with solemn expressions that she is the only dragon who cooks her food before enjoying it. She has never been known to leave her subterranean lair; however, locals still developed a tradition of offering her live sacrifices to ensure a fragile peace treaty.
